On the occasion of RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat ji's birthday, a remarkable event was held that celebrated the spirit of service and compassion. The inauguration of a special camp dedicated to differently abled individuals took place on 12th September 2021 in, Patna. This noble initiative was organized at The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang Hospital (Hospital for the Disabled) as a selfless service dedicated to our nation by the esteemed Sarsanghchalak of the National Volunteer Organization, Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat ji.

In addition to honouring the birthday of Dr Mohan Bhagwat ji, the event also marked the memory of the late Dr R.K. Modi, a renowned social worker, and the 50th wedding anniversary of Hanuman Sahay Goyal. The 128th Polio and Corrective Surgery Camp, led by specialist orthopaedic surgeons Dr Ravi Khandelwal and Dr Vinay Kumar, witnessed surgeries conducted for 19 patients. Furthermore, Dr Ajit Varma, the former principal of PMCH, conducted medical examinations for 29 patients in the OPD.

The distinguished doctors Dr Pramila Modi, Dr Gautam Modi, and Dr Charu Modi were honoured with traditional attire and symbols by Padma Shri Bimal Jain, General Secretary of The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang Hospital. The event also saw the measurement of artificial arms for a 10th-grade student from Phulwari Sharif, who tragically lost both arms. This incredible gesture aims to present her with artificial arms on Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd October 2021.

A heartwarming promise was made to Riya Kumari, a 23-year-old college student from Lakhisarai who walks with crutches. Managing Trustee of The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang Hospital Vivek Mathur pledged to assist her in standing on her feet, providing hope for a brighter future. The event was graced by esteemed citizens of the city, coming together to support and celebrate the strength and resilience of differently abled individuals.

Additionally, the event presented an opportunity to honour Shri Lakshmi Narayan Bhadani of Nawada, a renowned social worker, for his exceptional contributions to society. Mr Bhadani received garments and a statue of Lord Ganesha as a token of appreciation, along with warm wishes for a long and healthy life. Shri Rajendra Drolia, who successfully fought and recovered from COVID-19, visited the hospital to convey his good wishes to the patients.

Sinha, and Dr Nagendra Prasad, Director of Buddha Eye Care Hospital in Patna, further highlighted the significance of this event. Dr Prasad's expertise in eye diseases and his guidance on the hospital's activities were greatly appreciated.
