Prosthetic Limbs Donated

The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang (Disabled) Hospital and Research Centre in Patna, Bihar, India, recently opened its doors after the festive season of Diwali. One of the first patients to benefit from their services was Ravi Kumar Singh, a resident of Sasaram. Despite having his right leg amputated, Ravi Kumar arrived at the hospital on his motorcycle.

Upon his arrival, Ravi Kumar was provided with a mask to ensure his safety during his visit. During his examination, our medical team noticed that his existing prosthetic leg, obtained from a hospital in Jaipur, was in a dilapidated condition. This prompted us to take immediate action.

After completing his registration, Ravi Kumar shared that he used to travel all the way to Jaipur to obtain his prosthetic leg. However, a friend informed him about The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang (Disabled) Hospital and Research Centre, providing him with our address. Little did he know that this visit would transform his life.

Our dedicated prosthetic technician organized everything for Ravi Kumar and provided him with a brand new, high-quality prosthetic leg. The moment Ravi Kumar tried it on, he regained his ability to walk normally. In a testament to its functionality, he even rode his motorcycle with the same prosthetic leg back to his home.

As the day progressed, Dr Ajit Verma examined and treated seven more disabled patients at our hospital. Two of them were also fortunate enough to receive prosthetic limbs, enhancing their mobility and independence. As part of our commitment to supporting the community, we also distributed free face masks to all patients.

We humbly request you to help us spread the word about The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang (Disabled) Hospital and Research Centre.
