The hospital opened today after Diwali. Ravi Kumar Singh of Sasaram, whose right leg had been amputated, visited The Bharat Vikas Viklang Punarvas Kendra and The Sanjay Anand Viklang (Disabled) Hospital and Research Centre in Patna, Bihar, India. He came on a motorcycle.
Ravi Kumar was provided with a mask. During his examination, we observed the prosthetic leg provided by another hospital in the east of Jaipur was in a dilapidated condition. On completing his registration, he advised us that previously he had to travel to the east of Jaipur to get his prosthetic leg. But, a friend of his informed him about this Hospital and Research Centre and provided him with the address.
The prosthetic technician organised everything for Ravi Kumar and provided him with a prosthetic leg. After fitting the prosthetic leg, Ravi Kumar started walking normally, and he showed his ability by riding his motorcycle. He asked for crutches, expressing the difficulties he faced in his daily routine (defecation etc.), and was provided with them too. He drove his motorcycle with the same prosthetic leg back to his destination
