Today the 126TH Disabled Camp was held at The Bharat Vikas Viklang Punarvas Kendra and The Sanjay Anand Viklang (Disabled) Hospital and Research Centre in Patna, Bihar, India, In the memory of Kiran Devi and courtesy of Mr Sunil Khemka Ji. The camp was conducted by Dr Mithilesh Kumar, Dr Jivendu Chaudhary, Dr Manindra and Dr Ravi Khandelwal. Surgery was performed on 36 Patients with various disabilities. Surgical plaster was applied on the patients post surgery.
Dr Ajit Verma examined 40 further patients. The foundation donated prosthetic limbs to 5 Patients with different disabilities. Amongst them was a lady Sunita Devi who had lost her arm and leg in a train accident and was extremely distraught. Her inability to have a normal life led her to contemplate suicide. The distress and anguish seemed to change when she received the prosthetics and was standing on her feet again.
