Transforming Lives- One Step at a Time

Today, at The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang (Disabled) Hospital and Research Centre in Patna, Bihar, India, the 126th Camp for the disabled was held. This significant event was organized in loving memory of Kiran Devi and made possible through the generosity of Mr Sunil Khemkaji.

Led by a team of skilled doctors including Dr Mithilesh Kumar, Dr Jivendu Chaudhary, Dr Manindra, and Dr Ravi Khandelwal, the camp successfully performed surgery on 36 patients with various disabilities. Following the surgeries, surgical plaster was applied to ensure proper healing and recovery.

In addition to the surgeries, Dr Ajit Verma examined 40 patients in the Out-Patients Department, providing them with essential medical care and attention. Furthermore, the foundation kindly donated prosthetic limbs to 5 individuals with different disabilities, including Sunita Devi, a lady who had tragically lost her arm and leg in a train accident. Sunita, who had been feeling distraught and despondent due to her inability to lead a normal life, found a renewed sense of hope and purpose after receiving the prosthetics. With the support of these limbs, she was able to stand on her feet once again, transforming her distress and anguish into resilience and newfound joy.
